Discussion this week was about some of my smaller works, which directly corresponded to the oversized prints from the first critique. For the most part the smaller images were easier to read and more accessible to the viewers. In particularly, the images that incorporated photography and encaustics seemed more amenable to the group. Pertaining to size, the overall consensus was that the 12 X 12 square images were the more approachable. Some discussion was made to include more contrasting elements; like a solid element or ground to contrast the work's obvious liquidity.
